Family Dog Training gives you the fastest, most effective solutions to your dog training needs. And that’s in-home dog training. Your home offers a comfortable, distraction free setting. Most dogs, and many owners, focus better and learn more quickly than in a classroom setting.
Classes are OK for getting some of the basics down, but for real training that meets your needs and your dog’s needs, one-on-one time is needed. And that’s what Family Dog Training offers.
Successful dog training depends on attention. If a dog is distracted from his owner while training, his progress is slow.
Not all dogs do well in group sessions, much less get through them without feeling anxious or over stimulated by the fun new people, dogs and smells around. Your pet may not do well in group class if he is too distracted in groups and unable to focus, is aggressive toward other dogs and/or people, has a shy owner who is not comfortable asking questions or requesting help in a group setting.
And the best place to solve them is in your home. Training takes place in your home, or a location of your choosing, such as the park or on walks around your neighborhood. Starting in a familiar, low-distraction environment makes it easier for you and your dog to acquire the skills in the beginning, and easier to take it out “on the road” later on!
There are two of the Leash, and training the dog is only part of the job. The other, more important part is teaching owners how to effectively communicate clear rules and expectations in a way the dog can understand. The goal is to create a harmonious environment where it is easier for owners to control and elicit good behavior from their pet.
During our private sessions, you will learn how to train and modify your dog’s behavior. Sessions include a combination of educational information, observation and assessment of your dog; discussion of animal behavior, behavior modification and training techniques as well as direct, hands on practice opportunities.
Sessions generally last 60 to 90 minutes and the whole family is encouraged to participate, even the kids.
You will need to practice daily between sessions in order to make progress. But practice doesn’t need to be demanding or difficult. We will talk about ways to incorporate the training into your daily routine.
I truly love dogs and want the best for them and their owners The purpose of training is not just about obedience commands, but correcting behavior issues, things like barking, lunging, jumping, and unruliness. I understand the way dogs think and why they behave the way they do. So we can resolve behavior problems at their root cause.
I understand just how precious your pet is to you and I recognize and appreciate the trust you place in me by allowing me to train your dog. Know that my commitment to convenient and humane dog training will be valuable to you in the years to come.
